Avantgarde’s international team of over 50 employees has a distinct feel for trends and the positioning of international brands in the Chinese market. Operating in China since 2004, Avantgarde has delivered a broad range of exciting projects for major clients such as Porsche and Nike, and was responsible for the spectacular grand opening of the Peninsula Shanghai.
BACK TO OVERVIEWConcept for the Grand Opening Gala of the new Peninsula Hotel, located on the Bund. Avantgarde’s highlights for the 4,000 guests included the 10 different venues within the hotel, various bands and dance performances, spectacular lighting and a seemingly endless supply of bars and food stations. The gala’s special attraction was a dramatic vertical performance by the iconic bellboys on the facade of the building.

OPENING
Creation of a launch package for the new Porsche Cayenne in China. Avantgarde set up three major events to experience the new Cayenne models (Turbo and S): off-road test driving, product training and high-class evening activities for 600 Chinese Porsche dealers and 100 Chinese journalists. Additional POS launches in Shanghai and Beijing were also managed.

CAYENNE LAUNCH
Promotion of the new Puma summer collection in cooperation with Taiwanese superstars Da Mouth. Avantgarde was responsible for creative development, an entertainment concept with live shows, dance competitions, photo mechanics and a meet and greet. Five performances in five cities over five days drew hundreds of spectators into shopping malls and Puma stores.
