Concept for the 125th anniversary of Mercedes-Benz and official inauguration of the MB Arena in Shanghai. Avantgarde built a futuristic temporary event location on Shanghai’s former Expo Plaza, featuring interactive exhibitions to show milestones in Mercedes-Benz’s history, car displays and video clips. A Mary J. Blige concert and after-show party with renowned Chinese DJs, four-course dinner and fireworks was staged for 600 members of the media and VIP guests.

Audi Fashion Show concept at the Beijing Audi Forum to honor Chinese designer Uma Wang with the renowned Audi 2011 Progress in Design Award. Avantgarde staged a fashion show of her 2011 Fall/Winter Collection and the five pieces she designed especially for Audi. An auction was also held for the piece Uma Wang designed to support Audi’s charity program.

FASHION SHOW
The wide-ranging exhibition entitled “The Art of Enlightenment” opened at the National Museum of China in Beijing on 1 April 2011. BMW is the first partner of the collaboration between three leading German art institutes and the National Museum of China.
As partners of this cultural event, BMW invited 50 European and Chinese journalists as well as the world-famous conductor Maestro Maazel to attend the opening ceremony. Avantgarde was entrusted with the organization and implementation of this program and guest logistics.
